"I never thought this could happen to me. I can't pay my bills. I feel like such a failure."
Feeling like a failure and being one are not the same thing.
Failure is an event, never a person.
~ William D. Brown ~Filing bankruptcy doesn't make you a failure.
Whether or not you are a failure depends upon what you do next.
The only true failure lies in failure to start.
~ Harold Blake Walker ~The only real failure in life is the failure to get back in the game and keep trying. "If at first you don't succeed...try, try, again"
Here's some advice:
Don't give up. Accept your losses. File bankruptcy, if need be, and then get back in the game.
All successful people suffer setbacks, and many times, complete setbacks. That's life. The difference is that the successful person is the one who learns from those setbacks, doesn't give up, and who then gets back in the game.
Filing bankruptcy may not give you more income, but filing bankruptcy is the quickest way to end up with less expenses, and less expenses lets you more quickly get back in the game.
Our history is full of rich, famous people who have learned this lesson. Also, many famous individuals and big companies have gone bankrupt including:
- President Abraham Lincoln
- Author Mark Twain
- Automobile Manufacturer Henry Ford
- Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas
- Hollywood director Francis Ford Coppola
- Television personality Larry King
- Actor Mickey Rooney
- Actor Burt Reynolds
- Actress Kim Basinger
- Entertainer Jerry Lee Lewis
- Entertainer Wayne Newton
- Entertainer M.C. Hammer
- Entertainer Toni Braxton
- Continental Airlines
- United Airlines
- US Airways (twice)
There is absolutely no reason to feel guilty about filing bankruptcy, when you use it as an opportunity to provide future financial happiness and security for your family.
Think bankruptcy, and give yourself a chance to..."try, try again". I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom.
~ George S. Patton ~
